In 2002, when the two designers Ditte Reckweg and Jelena Schou Nordentoft opened the Stilleben shop in the heart of Copenhagen they were among the pioneers to bring modern interpretations of handmade ceramics from different designers into a new and modern setting within interior design.
A trend that quickly summoned design shops on the thriving Danish design market to follow and soon ceramics became THE thing within interior design.
